Recent studies have shown that children who were exposed to classical music performed better in science and math. This is a strong argument to include Art, Music and Literature courses in the undergraduate programs of science majors. I believe that the same cognitive processes are involved in all creative endeavors. Consequently, an understanding and appreciation of the "Arts" has direct application to all subjects. In our race to become technocrats we are forgetting the foundations of our civilization. This path may lead us to the "Event Horizon" but will not prepare us for the "Singularity" within!!!!!!
