Directory of Environmental Science Web Sites

The following sites will give you an idea of the scope of enviromental information that is available over the Web. For a more specific interest I recommend that you use the AltaVista Search Engine or the yahoo categories.

A Next marks pages recommended by IBS. A marks sites that are relevant to undergraduate study.

Remember you can place your favourite sites in your list of 'bookmarks/favourites'.

Other Search Engines

These are sites that will locate other sites. You need to specify key words of interest.

UK Search A relatively new UK search engine. Try it first as the response is likely to be faster than the US-based ones.
Yahoo Search Engine (UK) Good for seeking out items included in page titles, but may not be as comprehensive as its US parent. If it cannot find it, it may link you directly to the US site.
Yahoo Search Engine (US) Good for seeking out items included in page titles.
Alta Vista (US) Comprehensive
Lycos (US) Comprehensive
InfoSeek (US) Comprehensive
WebCrawler (US) Comprehensive
Mailing List Searcher (US) Look for mailing lists on topics you are interested in.
