Internet Biodiversity Service

Online since 1990

This Internet Biodiversity Service gives you access to information about biological systematics, ecology and evolution and enables you to analyse your selections. For example, there are large sets of global data from which you can plot maps and graphs for modern and fossil occurrences. The table below gives an overview of the site from which you can make your own searches, reports, plots and analyses.

Navigate through one of these two pathways:
Taxonomy Names and hierarchies of taxa from five Kingdoms, their descriptions and illustrations.
Presentations Databases can be searched. Programs make maps, graphs of occurrences through time, Fourier analysis. (Most require a Java platform.)
