Biology Department Facilities

The biology department occupies five large buildings interconnected by walkways, Rebstock Hall, the original home of the department, was built in 1926 with a bequest from the Charles Rebstock family. It is flanked by the Monsanto Building to the east and the Busch and Life Sciences buildings and the greenhouse to the west. Within these buildings, which total over 115,000 square feet of space, there are 37,000 square feet of recently renovated research laboratories. The McDonnell Hall Building east of M onsanto Hall, shared with the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, opened December 1992.
