SOLANACEAE: Atropa belladonna (deadly nightshade)

Alternate leaves that are arranged in pairs becoming closer to each other near the inflorescences. One leaf of a pair is larger, one smaller. One pedunculated flower is borne at the axil of each leaf. The leaves are broadly lanceolate to egg-shaped and aciculate, they have petioles and smooth margins.
