A native of Cuba, this palm has a characteristic "beard" of white-gray fibers.
This species is extremely slow-growing, but it is worth the wait; in fact, my plant is
probably several years old and is only about 8" tall. This is a close relative of the
silver palm, Coccothrinax argentata, which is native to south Florida.
