Detailed information on the above options

TCAG - The Centre for Applied Genomics
The Centre for Applied Genomics in Canada at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Texas University Health Science Center
The main goal of the Center program project is to provide detailed physical and genetic maps of STS markers for human chromosome 3.

Human chromosome 3 Databases;

TIGEM - Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine
In 1994 Comitato Promotore Telethon created a Telethon Institute at the San Raffaele Biomedical Science Park in Milan specifically focused on inherited diseases. This institute, the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (Tigem), hosts several types of research activities grouped into two functional units: Gene Identification and Gene Characterization.

TIGR (The Institute for Genomic Research)
A non-profit-making organisation.

The TIGR Database (TDB) is a collection of molecular biology databases containing DNA and protein sequence, gene expression, cellular role, isology class, taxonomic and sample collection data for a variety of species. TDB currently comprises the Microbial Database (MDB, containing the genome sequences of Haemophilus influenzae, Methanococcus jannaschii, and Mycoplasma genitalium), the Human cDNA Database (HCD), the Expressed Gene Anatomy Database (EGAD), Sequences, Sources, Taxa (SST), and the Arabidopsis thaliana Database. Anonymous FTP access to sequences and other data is also provided.

MRC researchers should contact the Technology Trasfer Group at MRC head office to get information on licence agreements between TIGR and the MRC.
