This article deals with bovine spongioform encephalopathy, prions and a process called rendering. Gummi bears will never seem the same after this article.

If you have never read the book, Soylent Green, now would be a good time to do so.

Be sure to examine the question of just what a "prion" is. Your texts have a little to say about this.
