Descriptions

This database contains descriptive details of the type specimens of more than 10,000 extinct
plant genera. The Field Headings were established by the "Frankfurt Declaration" of IOP in 1990 and
the details comprised the first version of this database, PFR1, which was published in 1992. Most Field
Headings are blank, and do not show here, and most genera described since 1985 are missing.
