The embryogenesis and plant regeneration from cotton another culture were described first in this paper.G. klotzschianum Anderss anthers could directly produced embryogenic callus on MS with 0.1mg/L 2,4-D and 0.5mg/L KT, but G. hirsutum L. could obtain embryogenic callus only through the selection with the method of starvation too. High frequency subculture was disadvantageous to the induction of embryogenic callus. Genotypes was one of the key factors on embryogenesis and plant regeneration from cotton another culture could be divide into two cells, more cells or smell cell group, and then formed haploid callus. Both of haploid and hiploid cell existed in cotton anther culture, the ratio of haploid cell was 10.0% or so. Some of regenerative plants were haploid plants.
