Non-sterile medicines sometimes happen to be contaminated by microscopic fungi. This forms of medicinal infection is dangerous not only for the rise of mycotic diseases, but as a means to provoke an allergic reaction. It is very urgent in this respect to identify fungi up to specific level. Our investigations on various groups of non-sterile medicines revealed more than 160 species of fungi from genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Trichoderma, Trichothecium, Torula. A considerable part of them are potential allergens. The presence in medicines of diaspores of species Aspergillus, Penicillium and other genera in some cases may be the cause of the rise of toxic metabolites of fungi - mycotoxins inducing not only mycotoxicosis but mycoallergosis as well. Thus, it is very urgent to provide strict mycological control over non-sterile medicines with limitation of not only quantitative but also qualitative composition of mycobiote.
