ABOUT THE TAXONOMICAL STATUS OF VAVILIVIA FORMOSA BASED ON THE RESULTS OF CROSSIBILITY AND SUSCEPTIBILITY TO SPECIALIZED PATHOGENS.

As a pea species the Pisum formosum (Stev.) Alef. was documented by F.Alefeld in 1866. A.Fedotov (1939, 1952) determined this species as monotypic genera Vavilovia formosa Fed. In the work we demonstrated the crossibility of V.formosa with Pisum sativum and its susceptibility to Pisum species specialized fungi Uromyces pisi, Ascochyta pisi and A.pinodes. These results showed that the distinction of V.formosa in separative genera is questionable
