XVI International Botanical Congess

The isozyme patterns of 5 enzyme systems (GOT, GDH, DIA, MDH, SOD) of Pinus montana Mill., which are encoded with at least 16 loci were investigated with polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Seed samples were collected from 71 trees growing in populations on different elevations in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. Loci Got-2, Got-3, Gdh-1, Dia-1, Dia-2, Dia-4, Mdh-2, Mdh-3 and Mdh-4 were polymorphic but Got-1, Sod-1, Sod-2, Sod-3 and Sod-4 -monomorphic. The Dia-3, Mdh-1 were stained badly and not analyzed. On the whole the mean Ho was 0,21+0,03. It does not strongly differ from the results obtained earlier by the other authors.
