IAA production was studied in winter wheat leaves of the resistant v. Mirleben (M) and susceptible v. Donskaya (D) cultivated in Ukraine quantitative content of IAA on the stages GS31 & GS32. The v. M contained IAA 10 times higher in comparison with the v. D (10.2 & 0.72 ng/g of f. w. at the GS31 respectively). During plants growth the IAA content increases in the v. M & v. D. The invasion of fungus causes a 20-fold decrease in the IAA content in the v. M. Production of IAA increased in the v. D. conceivably (in two times on the GS31 & in 30-40 times on the GS32 during the infection with various fungus isolates). It might be suggested that the IAA content increases in infected wheat leaves mostly as a result of IAA production by the fungus that promotes the attraction of feeding substances to the fungus invasion.
