High sexual polymorphism and the reduction of elements of flower organs as well as coordinated mechanism of dehiscence of anther owing to specific structure of endothecium and connective cells, entering of additional pollen tubes into the embryo sac, formation of aposporous embryo sacs, the development adventous embryo are reported for Asiatic Salsola species. The distinctive embryological characters typical for apomicts are also investigated. Different types of pollination: autogamy, xenogamy and geitenogamy are revealed. Flowering process occurs at the meso-and xerothermal periods of year. Double fertilization is observed in 5-10 hours after the catching of pollen tubes into embryo sac. Formation of embryo and fruits takes about 5-7 months. The high variability of some morphological and structural parameters of fruits are marked. It is noted that vegetative parts of flower with its Kranthz-type anatomy analogous with leaves or stems of aphylous arid species manifest a high photosynthetic activity during their ontogenesis.
