O.M. Smetana, Kryvyj Rig's Botanical Garden NAS, Ukraine

The communities of the ruderal vegetation of the new waste banks fall under the classes of Agropyretea repentis, Artemisietea vulgaris, Chenopodietea, Festuco-Brometea. The ruderal species predominate in first stage of growth. The majority of communities unite to alliances of two first classes. These alliances have only in one association. The class Artemisietea vulgaris have two associations, from which Atriplici nitentis-Ambrosietum artemisiifoliae was described first. The steppe species settle in first years. The variety of syntaxons of steppe vegetation on the new waste banks is slight, the communities of the ruderal vegetation belong mainly to higher taxons. This vegetation include only pioneer and serial communities. The trees don't organize the characteristic communities. The number of species in a phytocoenosis and floristic composition of the ruderal vegetation is slight on the new waste banks. The productivity of the grass cover is slight.
