The considerable constituting part of the modern urbolandscape of Kiyv are the most diverse water bodies (lakes and ponds). CityÆs water bodies, especially those possessing significant areas, alongside with parks and forestry are concentrations of wildlife, reservations of biodiversity among anthropogenochanged environment. This is why the floristic composition researches, as well as researches of biocenosis structure and peculiarities of the development will help to evaluate the level of anthropogenic influence upon the reservoirs and their ecosystems conditions. Ranking of Kyiv City water bodies were fulfilled on the basis of water vascular plants composition, whereas 56 plant species were found, with approaching standard Bray-Blanket methodology. Three main types of water bodies distinguished by the composition and origin of vascular water plants were perform. Existence in the City metropolitan area water bodies with the wide biodiversity of species (some of them are enlisted in the Red book) and phytocenosis show the nessesity of making special protection measures.
