POTERIUM POLYGAMMUM (V.et K.) AS NEW FODDER CROPS FOR CREATION OFPERMANENT PASTURES IN UZBEKISTAN.

Poterium polygammum (V.et K.) is concidered as a new plants for creation of permanent autumn and winter pastures in Uzbekistan. The nutritional value of P. polygammum is similar with other traditional forage crops. One hundred kg. of green mass contain 13.5 feed units and 1.7 kg. of digestible proteins. Poterium polygammum by its digestibility of nutrient substances is a highest than other grass plants. At the flowering styage the contents of protein varies from 12.0-12.5%. Besides protein the plants of Poterium rich in corbohydrates, vitamins P, C, E and carotin. Under the conditions of Uzbekistan the yield of green mass of Poterium varies from 17.5-32.5 ton per hectare. Thus, P. polygammum can be recomended as a pespective forage crop for winter and early spring pastures for animals development under the conditions of Uzbekistan, where the winter is short with small quantity of snow.
