The peoples of the Central Asia (CA) for over 2.5 thousand of years are selling on bazaars and using in medical treatment and culinary exotic herbs and spices. However, these products have not yet found reflection in the literature. We made an inventory of the herbs and spices sold, found out their local definitions, determined their main medicinal and culinary properties, gave the descriptions of recipes of folk medicine. By means of comparative analysis of the climates of natural areas, vital forms were then subdivided into 3 groups. 1. The production of the tropics. Plants not growing in C.A. 2. The production of tropic and subtropic plants 1000 years history in C.A. 3. The production of plants of tropical, subtropical and moderate latitudes. The results of the research gave us possibility to reveal the great potential of herbs and spices for their further study and introduction in medicine and culinary. The methods of growing plants referring to the third group recommended by us will contribute to the enrichment of the cultural flora of Central Asia.
