XVI International Botanical Congess

A study on the diversity and ecology of invasive plants (agrestials and ruderals) has been carried out in Kampala. About 230 plant species have been recorded. A phytosociological study of lthese plants has brought to light several plant associations. A synthesis of these associations is given basing on their characteristic plant species and different ecological spectra (life forms, geographical distribution and ecosociological groups). For each plant community, a typical phytosociological relev (relevé) is given.
