XVI International Botanical Congess

The work comprises taxonomic, nomenclatural, phytogeographycal and ethnobotanical information about the Antillian species of Lantana L. (Verbenaceae, Verbenoideae), with an issue of 15 years= work of the author, with field experiences and revision of more than 5,000 specimens of the herbaria HAC, HAJB, HIPC, NY, SJ, US, MAPR, HPPR, GH, UPRRP and JBSD. Among the main contributions, it presents an analytical key for the rapid identification of the taxa, with special observations about the groups that have historically been cause of doubt or confusion, precissions about the distribution of many elements in the different islands and an assessment about the complex of microphyll species of the Sect. Callioreas, that justifies the description of a new Cuban species..
