Intergeneic relationships of 8 genera of the subtr. Ferulinae in China, which are Peucedanian, Ferula, Selumannia, Soranthus, Talassia, Phlojodicarpus, Chananminshen and Aronatopierus, were studied by serological similarity, three serological groups were detected by the character of precipitation reaction and the cluster analysis of Ssm: 1) Suchumannia, Soranthus and Talassia should be merged into Ferula by their close relationship. Besides above three genera, Aronatopierus also is a near relationship with Ferula, 2) It shows that Phlajodicarpus is similar to Peucelanum, 3) There is far relationship between Chananminshen and other genera. Ferula, a large genus in the subtr. Can be divided into two groups: 1) including Elicentiana sealing over east China and E. olivacea growing in the high mountain region of southwest China, 2) the other species in Xinjiang in northwest China. It is indicated that the relationship of taxa studied correspond to their geographic distribution.
