XVI International Botanical Congess
AFLP was employed to analyze population genetic structure and variation of dominant tree species Cryptocarya concinna in lower subtropical forests. Samples from a total of 37 individuals in 2 populations at mesophilic sites and 1 population at heliophilic site were amplified using 4 AFLP primer combinations. 51 polymorphic phenotypic patterns were selected and analyzed. Shannon coefficient, AMOVA for SSD (sum of squared deviations), MSD (mean squared deviations) and variance components, and Nei=s genetic distance show high genetic diversity and low differentiation in the population. Higher AFLP polymorphic variation and the specific loci were found in the population from heliophilic site using E-ACT and M-CAG primer combination. It suggested that the habitat difference reflect on molecular levels.
