THE TRIBE ANTHEMIDEAE CASS. (ASTERACEAE) IN THE CAUCASUS.

The tribe Anthemideae has been studied since 1968. The taxonomical composition of this tribe in the Caucasus is represented by 97 species of 9 genera. The synonymics, areas, altitudes of growth, ecology has been specified, the typification has been carried out for each taxon. Among the Caucasion Anthemideae there is one monotypical genus. This Mediterranean genus is shown by Otanthus maritimus (L.) Hoffmgg. et Link, which can be found only on the seaboard sands of Abkhazia. The Mediterranean genus Anacyclus L. Is represented by the rare East-Transcaucasian endemic A.ciliatus Trautv. The last one is known only from the several habitation of basin of the river Koura. One species of the genus Leucanthemum Mill.-L.vulgare Lam. Is widely spread in the Caucasus. The other genera have 3-28 species: Matricaria L.-3, Tripleurospermum Sch.Blp.-11, Achillea L.-14, Anthemis L.-17, Artemisia L.-21, Tanacetum-28 species.
