THE PROTECTION OF ENDEMICS OF THE TRIBE ANTHEMIDEAE CASS. (ASTERACEAE) IN THE CAUCASUS.

During taxonomic investigation of the tribe Anthemideae in the Caucasus 18 endemics have been revealed, 10 of which are narrow ones. Among endemics there are also vanishing species, which are in need of special protection, conservation and reproduction. The areas, altitudes and ecological conditions of growth have been specified for each endemics. Possible ways of genesis of these endemics are also discussed. The most typical habitation in the Caucasus has been revealed. These materials are suggested for creation of new and specification the borders of funtioning protected areas. It=s offered to put on corresponding proofs in the new editions of Red Books. Some decorative high mountain endemics have been successfully growing in semidesert condition of Armenian Institute of Botany. It can be used in decorative gardening as a protective action.
