The concept of Optimal Photosynthetic Wheat Plant Type (OPWPT) may be used as the biotechnological model for crop improvement in favorable and limiting environments. Such concept is based on physiology genetic increasing of photosynthetic activity on different levels of photosynthetic apparatus organization: from photosystem to plant, determination of relation mechanism between primary energetic processes of photosynthesis in photosystem and chloroplast, high CO2 - fixation in leaf and high crop production, revealing of photosynthetic productive structure-function interactions, understanding of ontogenetic changes in production processes components and the role of organs in accumulation and redistribution of biomass. The main items of OPWPT conception were formulated.Genetic determination of photosynthetic processes have been shown with using of polygene, correlation and combine ability analysis. Influencing of limiting factors of environments on genetic regulation of photosynthetic processes was determined by coefficient of photosynthetic indeces adaptation to water deficit and the mobile system of physiology - genetic correlation between them and productivity elements in different environments.
