ABOUT NORM OF WOOD SPECIES REACTION ON CLIMATIC CHANGES

Boris Gannibal, Komarov Botanical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia

The problem of norm of species reaction on varying environmental conditions is one of fundamental problem of a biological science and practice. The researches were carried out in one of mountain gorge of Middle Asia (Tadjikistan), where on the limited area contrast on conditions of temperature and humidity locations were selected. Except aboriginal wood species, there were studied a few cultural in the same conditions. The width of year rings (radial increment) into trunks were measured and the parameters for 40-50 years period were analyzed. It has appeared, that the natural flora elements in natural sites react on climatic change by a similar image. On the same climatic background, but in other ecological conditions their reaction varies. The cultural elements reaction is very different. There is the opportunity to establish criterion of conformity of either species to specific ecological conditions.
