THE FAMILY PROTEACEAE IN ECUADOR

The family Proteaceae consists of about 75 goods and but of 100 species, it is distributed mainly in the southern hemisphere in Australia and in Sudafrica. In the Ecuador they are represented 5 native goods, 4 are in the Andean Forest and 1 in forest subtropical premontano, with approximately 20 species. Most of the species of this family are maderable to exepción of the Oreocallis that is medicinal generate. The vulgar names but acquaintances used for these species are Oak and teaspoon-boldo, which are maderables and medicinal respectively. This Family is distributed this way in the Ecuador in so much several counties of the coast region, mountain and east: Esmeraldas, Guayas, Oro, Carchi, Imbabura Pichincha, Bolivar, Tungurahua, Chimborazo, Azuay, Loja, Sucumbios, Napo, Morona Santiago, Zamora Chichipe. In the Ecuador the I generate Panopsis it presents stability morfologica vegetative but great variability morfologica reproductive vs the Roupala that presents stability and variability to the inverse one generate. Product of the present study has been able to be added new species to the Flora from Ecuador.
