V. Ya. Cherdantseva, Institute of Biology and Soil Science, Vladivostok, Russia 69022

According to the recent data 543 species of mosses are known to the SRFE. About 70-75% of the bryoflora are represented by species with wide holarctic areas. About 16% have Eastasian distributions. In Russia the Eastasian species, as a rule, occur in the south of the Far East. Most Eastasian species are in the genera: Thuidium s.l - 6, Entodon - 5, Anomodon - 4, Plagiomnium - 4, the others- from 3 to 1. Eastasian specificity of the bryoflora of the SRFE can be seen not only at the specific level, but also at the generic one. There are 8 Eastasian genera: Boulaya, Fauriella, Dozya, Miyabea, Hylocomiopsis, Hondaella etc.
