The Centaureinae is one of the taxonomically difficult subtribes in Cardueae. Systematic position of 10 genera was revised on the comparative analysis of the of immunochemical characters of seed proteins and carpo-anatomical features of achenes. It has been suggested the separate position of Stizolophus, Amberboa, Tomanthea, Oligochaeta, Acroptilon in subtribe Centaureinae. Genus Grosshemia is closely related with Chartolepis, Serratula most related to subgenus Microlophus than to other subgenus of Centaurea. A comparative studies of seed proteins and carpo-anatomical characters confirmed some isolation position of subgenus Centaurea in the genus Centaurea. The presented study demonstrated the expediency of using of combined analysis of molecular and anatomical characters for the solution of systematic problems in Cardueae.
