Ashot Charchoglian (Institute of Botany, 375063, Yerevan, Avan).

On the basis of combined analysis of the results of immunochemical investigations of seed proteins and carpo-anatomical characters of achenes of 40 species of different genera of Centaureinae, have been revealed that Stizolophus, Amberboa, Tomanthea, Oligochaeta, Acroptilon are separated genera in subtribe Centaureinae. Genus Grosshemia is closely related with Chartolepis, Serratula most related to subgenus Microlophus than to other subgenus of Centaurea. A comparative studies of seed proteins and carpo-anatomical characters confirmed some isolation position of subgenus Centaurea in the genus Centaurea. The presented study demonstrated the potential using of combined analysis of molecular and anatomical characters of seeds in systematically difficult groups of plants.
