As a result of the preliminary revision of the moss genus Zygodon in the Andean Patagonian Region new localities are reported for the area. Zygodon theriotii Herz. Is reduced to the synonymy of Zygodon inermis Malta. It is proposed to transfer Zygodon tristis Herz. to Zygodon bartramioides Malta as a variety: Zygodon bartramioides Malta var. tristis (Herz) Calabrese comb. nov. These species are described and illustrated.
