XVI International Botanical Congess

This work presents the Pteridophyte flora of three areas with Atlantic rain forest in Rio de Janeiro State based on surveys of the Macaé de Cima Ecological Reserve, the Paraíso Ecological Station and the Poço das Antas Biological Reserve. These reserves represent three different aspects of Atlantic Rain Forest in Rio de Janeiro. The collections are deposited at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Herbarium (RB). The material indicates the occurrence of 19 families an 171 species. A floristic analyses is presented and considerations are made about the habits and the geographic distribution of the species.
