Although taxonmists have suggested several theories on the origin of P. yedoensis, there is no coincidence until now. Those are represented as three ones: 1) It was from the hydridization, 2) it was from Idz penninsula in Japan, and 3)it was from Mt. Halla in Korea. To define the taxonomic problems and to pursue the phylogeny, we performed morphological review, anatomy by LM and SEM, RAPDs and nrDNA ITS sequence analysis. We could find the thirty three individuals of P. yedoensis newly in Mt. Halla. Based on the results, it is suggested as follows: 1) It is confirmed that the origin of P. yedoensis is Mt. Halla, 2)we could not find the evidence that it was from the hydrid, and 3) P. yedoensis which has an independent evolutionary route is apparently distinguished from the others.
