XVI International Botanical Congess

In order to enhance the quality of mountain forest in Shenzhen Special Economy Zone which is poor in ecological efficiency and landscape quality, a project on the construction of ecological landscape forests has being carried out. This project aims to select native and introduced plants which are of having unique landscape effects, having no diseases and public harms, fast growing, and being adaptive to local environment. Through community design and landscape planning with landscape plants, the forests will have sustainable ecological efficiency and demonstrate rich changes in colors and layers. The construction of ecological landscape forests will set up a model of urban mountain landscape construction for the coming century.
