XVI International Botanical Congess

The genus Grindelia Willd. consist of about 60 species of herbs and shrubs their inhabits Northwest and South American. In Peru it is represented for five taxa properly described, that distributed from the sea level to 4500 m, and requiere a monographic study, but at the moment we are presenting a preliminary synopsis, as a result of the critical revision of herbarium material, and of the last collections proceedind mainly from Southern. In addition to this we are presenting its morphology, distribution, ecolgy, uses and phenology, and we are discussing their relationships.
