XVI International Botanical Congess
The effects of salinity (50, 100, 150 mM Nacl) on growth, pigment content, soluble protein, transpiration rate and photosynthesis rate were studied in plants of Lupinus albus L.. A decrease in several growth parameters was observed. The content in chlorophyll and carotenoids decreased only at 100 and 150 mM Nacl, while photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and total soluble protein decreased from 50mM to 150 mM treatment.
