THE SOIL WATER-DEFICIT INFLUENCE UPON COTTON'S GENOTYPES

Saakova N.S., Nabiev S.M., Jalilov O.J. Genetic and Experimental Biology of Plants Institute, Uzbekistan

Individual sensibility of inbreed and hybrid genotypes of cotton of the different soil moisture conditions has been studied. It had been determined that the contents of water in leafs of sorts and hybrids as well as intensivity of transpiration was decreased at the water-deficit conditions. Whereas water retaining ability of leafs was increased. In the most hybrids there is high water retaining of leafs is combined with the less contents of water in leafs. The presence of reciprocal effects at the water-deficit conditions points to the influence of the cytoplasmatic genes at the adaptive capacity of these features.
