Our work is devoted to the molecular genetic analysis of the genes involved in determination of differentiation processes of highly inbred radish lines. Among typical mutants known to be related to certain defects in phytohormonal system we have also found the new mutants able to produce spontaneous genetic tumors and mutants with changed flower meristem determination. Preliminary evidence based on Southern analysis suggests that both tumor and non-tumor lines contain sequences similar to the tmr and 6b (tml ) genes. Role of the phytohormones in plant differentiation, including reproduction system, is discussed.
