Acanthopanax senticosus belongs to the Araliaceae family and is a native to the Taiga region of the Far East. It was to prevent respiratory tract infections and to enhances the immune response. Successful micropropagation was attained by culture of stem, leaf segments from in vitro germinated plantlets. Leaf and stem segments from in vitro grown plantlet were cultured on MS, B5, WPM medium supplemented with different concentrations of BA, KIN, NAA,2,4-D in combination or singly. Optimum numbers of shoots were obtained from stem and leaf explants either directly or from embryogenic callus. Regenerated shoots rooted readily with 3-4 weeks on WPM medium with 2% sucrose. Regenerated plants were morphologically similar to the field grown mother plants.
