Description

Range

Australia, northeastern Queensland from the McIlwraith Range on the Cape York Peninsula south to near Tully. Grows in or near rainforest, close to streams and on sheletered slopes in wet sclerophyll forest, mostly in lowland areas but at elevations up to 700m in the Atherton Tableland (1). Observations

Saw one at Flecker Botanical Gardens in Cairns. A moderately common ornamental.

Remarks

A related taxon is the undescribed (in 1993) Bowenia sp. 'Tinaroo' (1).
