Remarks
This is another pine, like the piņon and P. albicaulis, that provides an important food source for local indigenous peoples and wildlife in the form of large, wingless seeds that are distributed primarily by birds - in this case, the Siberian nutcracker (Nucifraga nucifraga) (2).Citations
