Description

"A shrub up to 0.5 (1) m in height sometimes prostrate. Shoots partiallysubterranean, internodes 1.5-5 cm long, up to 2 mm across. Leaves up to 2 mmlong. Fruit globose, 6-7 mm across, red. Chromosomes n = 18" (1).

Range

Southern Europe north to N.W. France, to southern Slovakia and Ukraine, and to Siberia (1).
