Cycas media R. Br.

Ethnobotany

Has been used as food by aborigines in Australia, and its stems were briefly harvested commercially for starch (1).

Observations

Based on distribution, this is almost certainly the species that I encountered in Eucalypt sclerophyll forests around Eungella National Park and Airlie Beach in Queensland.
